    Shake well and strain. Timely cocktails: the Richmond and the Rob Roy, the latter for the “usual enormous annual gathering of the Clans” on St. Andrew’s Day (November 30th)–feast day of Scotland’s patron saint.

    Taken from the wonderful Savoy Cocktail Book by Harry Craddock (1930) which you can see at James Branch Cabell Library Special Collections and Archives (TX 951 .C76 1930).
